Losi Mini Comp Crawler

fat-dog_chassis_build-10This little rock crawler started out as a stock Losi Mini Crawler I purchased from the EFExpo. I modified things as I broke them or wanted more performance. It transformed into this crawler after many upgrades, and was finally traded off for  the Traxxas Slash I now own.

I picked up this chassis seconhand from a RCC member on the cheap and decided to rebuild my MRC. I had a bit of fabrication to do to get the chassis as it sat to within the Comp Rules (8.5" wheelbase)... I had to pull in the lower links by an inch or so to pull the axles in. The included motor mount wasn't my cup of tea so a new one was made, mounting was a bit cleaner with the new mount, and a little lower. Friend of mine cut out some 4-link servo plates out of G10 and off we go...

Info:
Stock MRC base
Skunk Chassis
Upgraded all lockers
Shocks running as droop setup (unknown type, not HR, not losi)
Reedy 19T Modified motor 10t pinion
Fusion-Pack 1300mah 2s Lipo
5A UBEC
Proline Flat Irons 7oz front, 5oz rear.
Losi Beadlocks

After making the motor mount, buying a little hardware, fresh panels and a little paint its done. Some quick tests in the yard on the small rocks, its working well so far. Need to tune the droop a bit to get a little better action. The center of the chassis has such a small footprint, even with the low hung belly pan it clears most everything w/o a scrape.

Thanks to Fusion-Pack for keeping me in batteries!
