Every other week a few friends and I get together and tie flies and B.S. for a couple hours. During one of these get togethers Ben from Arizona Wanderings mentioned he was working to get a new logo made for his great blog. I immediately had a couple ideas pop into my head and emailed him later that evening looking for some thoughts about what he was looking for etc. Within a week we had a final product from inception to logo. Ben was great to work with, and I hope he enjoys his new logo and look.

There is a new Digital Magazine that came out today in Germany. Put out by by Visual Arts Illustrated, the magazine looks like it will be a hit.

The magazine features lots of articles and full color images and something you don't get from  the printed rags out there, Rich Media... That's right, videos right on the page. The ability to download the entire magazine as a PDF is a big bonus. Now you can put the magazine on your Smart Phone or laptop and read on the plane or while travelling without Internet access.

I was rummaging through the Joomla! Extensions Directory looking for a simple module to list the weblinks component in a module position. I found one that was simple, lightweight and worked well, db8 Latest Weblinks.

It installed easily, and displayed my weblinks where I needed them, but there was one quirk I didn't quite like. The ordering of the links seemed kind of odd, it ordered the links by the latest date. Wanting a bit more control over how the links were displayed, I poked through the parameters but there were no options to sort by "order". So into the code we go...
